หลายคนอาจจะแย้งว่า ช้าไปหรือเปล่าที่ผู้ผลิตมือถือรายใหญ่ของโลกเพิ่งคิดจะทำมือถือใส่ได้สองซิมขาย เพราะกลุ่มมือถือเฮ้าส์แบรนด์นั้นขายสองซิมแถมยังดูฟรีทีวีได้มาตั้งนานแล้ว
แกรนท์ แมคบีธ กรรมการผู้จัดการโนเกียประเทศไทย และตลาดเอเชียเกิดใหม่ ยืนยันว่า ไม่ถือว่าช้า เพราะโทรศัพท์มือถือรองรับสองซิมของโนเกียนั้น มาพร้อมนวัตกรรมใหม่ ๆ
เป็นครั้งแรกที่โนเกียวางจำหน่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือรองรับสองซิมการ์ด รุ่นที่วางจำหน่ายไปแล้ว คือ ซี2-00 และเอ็กซ์ 1-01
รุ่นล่าสุดก็ได้น้องเก้า จีรายุ เป็นพรีเซ็นเตอร์ก็คือ รุ่น ซี2-02
ผู้บริหารโนเกีย ประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า มือถือสองซิมพลัสของโนเกียทั้งสามรุ่น มีจุดเด่นอยู่ที่ จดจำซิมการ์ดได้ 5 ซิม เปลี่ยนซิมได้โดยไม่ต้องปิดเครื่องหรือเปิดฝาหลัง เพราะได้ออกแบบให้ช่องใส่ซิมหลักและซิมรองอยู่บริเวณด้านข้างตัวเครื่อง
ผู้ใช้อาจจะใช้ซิมหลักเป็นเบอร์โทรศัพท์และซิมรองสำหรับใช้ดาต้า สำหรับเข้าถึงอินเทอร์เน็ตหรือที่เรียกกันว่า เน็ตซิม ตามโปรโมชั่นที่ต้องการก็จะช่วยประหยัดค่าใช้จ่าย
จุดเด่นอีกอย่างก็คือ แม้จะเปลี่ยนซิม ข้อมูลที่อยู่ในตัวเครื่องก็ไม่หายไปทั้งเบอร์โทรศัพท์ เสียงเรียกเข้า ฯลฯ
ที่สำคัญ เว็บบราวเซอร์ตัวใหม่ในมือถือสองซิม หรือโทรศัพท์มือถือในกลุ่มซีรีส์ 40 ของโนเกีย ซึ่งออกแบบเว็บบราวเซอร์ใหม่ เมื่อเราเข้าถึงอินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านมือถือสองซิม ระบบจะเข้าไปที่เซิร์ฟเวอร์ของโนเกีย ซึ่งออกแบบให้บีบอัดการแสดงผลหน้าเว็บ ไม่โชว์เทคโนโลยีแฟลช เพื่อให้ประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายของผู้ใช้งาน แต่ยังแสดงผลภาพในไฟล์.jpg หรือสกุลอื่น ๆ โดยเว็บบราวเซอร์ตัวใหม่ จะจัดวางรูปแบบของหน้าเว็บไซต์แยกเป็นหมวดหมู่ให้
ผลที่ได้ก็คือ ทุกครั้งที่เข้าถึงอินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านมือถือ จะช่วยประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายเวลาดาวน์โหลดข้อมูลได้ถึง 10 เท่า ตรงกันข้ามกันสมาร์ทโฟนที่จะแสดงผลหน้าเว็บไซต์เหมือนจอคอมพิวเตอร์ ทำให้ต้องดาวน์โหลดข้อมูลจำนวนมหาศาล และมีค่าใช้จ่ายมาก
นอกจากนี้ยังมีแผนที่นำทางมาให้งานฟรีพร้อมตัวเครื่องทั้ง 3 รุ่น
สำหรับซี2-03 รองรับทั้งการใช้งานแบบปุ่มกดและจอสัมผัส ซึ่งเป็นเทคโนโลยีใหม่ เรียกว่า สไวป์ (swipe) วิธีการใช้งานก็คือ แค่วาดมือหรือลากนิ้วผ่านหน้าจอก็เข้าถึงแอพลิเคชั่นได้ทันที มีกล้อง 2 ล้านพิกเซล และหน่วยความจำที่รองรับได้สูงสุด 32 กิกะไบต์ เพียงพอให้ถ่ายรูปแล้วอัพโหลดขึ้นเฟซบุ้ก หรือทวิตเตอร์
จะบอกว่า ตลาดเป็นของผู้ใช้งานอย่างเราก็คงไม่ผิด เพราะมือถือสองซิมพลัสของโนเกียทั้งสามรุ่น ราคาอยู่ที่ 2,000-3,000 บาท แม้แต่เอไอเอส ซึ่งจัดโปรโมชั่นพิเศษร่วมกับโนเกียยังบอกว่า ถูกจนไม่น่าเชื่อ
ภูมิใจ กฤติยานนท์ ผู้อำนวยการสายงานสมาร์ทโฟน เอไอเอส บอกว่า ก่อนวางขายโนเกียได้ส่งมือถือสองซิมพลัสให้เอไอเอสทดสอบเครือข่ายประมาณ 3 เดือน ทั้งการใช้งานดาต้าและวอยซ์ ผลการทดสอบน่าพอใจมาก สามารถใช้งานพร้อมกันได้ดี
โทรศัพท์มือถือสองซิมพลัสทั้งสามรุ่น น่าจะถูกใจกลุ่มวัยรุ่นและผู้ใช้งานทั่วไปที่ต้องการเข้าถึงโซเชียลเน็ตเวิร์ค โดยเฉพาะในต่างจังหวัดที่พฤติกรรมการใช้งานเปลี่ยนไปการใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตบนโทรศัพท์มือถือมากขึ้น จากความนิยมของเฟซบุ้กและทวิตเตอร์
โนเกีย ยืนยันว่า สองซิมพลัสที่วางขายไปก่อน สองรุ่น ขายดีมากในต่างจังหวัด จนต้องสั่งเข้ามาเพิ่ม
ก่อนตัดสินใจซื้อไปขอทดลองใช้ตามร้านโนเกีย ช็อปก่อน
